Hello, I'm Tamsin
A warm, experienced counsellor helping the people of Nelson, and beyond, feel more settled, confident and connected.

Counselling built on trust, warmth and real expertise
I live in sunny Nelson and have enjoyed being part of this community for the last 25 years. As a family, my husband and I emigrated here in 2001 from the UK.
I count it a privilege to journey with my clients and watch them reach their full potential. With the right support, I believe it is possible to create a calm and welcoming environment, so I take great pleasure in being able to offer that.
A little about my story
I count it a privilege to journey with my clients and watch them reach their full potential both in their individual lives and in their relationships. I believe it is important to create a warm and welcoming environment, as I do appreciate counselling can seem a little daunting.
I have worked extensively with couples including premarital and relationship counselling and together with my husband Robert, who is a GP, we offer weekend and weeknight courses to strengthen relationships. As a team, we combine a unique blend of professional experience and expertise spanning over 35 years. I also work with clients on a wide range of issues including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, grief and parenting concerns.
I enjoy researching and like to know my clients are kept up to date with the latest tools and strategies in the counselling world. I also love swimming, gardening, biking, and spending time with family and friends. I have been happily married to Robert for over 35 years and we have two adult children and three grandchildren.
